At the end of 2002 car show season Bob Chabot and Geoff Ferber, (co-founding partners of Mobile Event Radio.) took a long look at some of the larger events and car shows that they had attended and produced for the last several years. They came to the realization that all events had the same problems. After the gates opened the promoters of an event had no way of communicating with attendees, vendors, or anyone else. There really wasn’t a good way to communicate. Yes, one can string wire over the entire event area and then bring in a PA system with a DJ but this takes a lot of equipment, labor, time and money, not to mention the insurance liability factor. You could hire a herd of DJ’s but then everyone had their own idea as to how the event should be paced, along with what kind of music they wanted, not to mention the sound levels and what level they set there speakers up. Most DJ’s couldn’t even read a script. Hence, a new idea was born…Mobile Event Radio Read More... |
Mobile Event Radio has just completed the modifying and up-grading of all its wireless speaker towers, just in time for the 2009 season. With our newly engineered wireless speaker towers, our signal/sound will have a much stronger presence and reception with each tower deployed at your event by MER. The clarity of the sound will also be greatly improved by our new higher powered audio amp updates. Our clients will still retain full audio sound levels, controlled at each individual wireless speakers tower deployed. MER's audio engineers have retained full master control of all audio levels of our wireless speaker towers at the Big Yellow Truck's stage. This allows our clients to raise or lower the sound levels at all speaker towers simutaneously. Each tower can carry between two to as many as four speakers per wireless tower. Each towers speakers have been raised to a level of 11' from the ground. This insures that the sound levels will not offend anyone attending your event. |

The 2008 season has now come to an end. MER will once again be modifying our audio equipment prior to the opening of MER's 2009 season. Our engineers will take the next couple of months to upgrade all new electronics into the working end of the Big Yellow Truck's stage. Some of our new audio engineering mods will better support our clients needs while others will make it easier for our DJ's. Currently the engineering staff is adding a new engineering console with MP3 players as well as a back up switchable audio amplifier. Before you see us next year we will also be upgrading the truck's audio speaker system with new technology ribbon speakers designed and built in the USA. These new audio speakers have much clearer audio quality while reaching much further with their sound pattern. Mobile Event Radio's new ribbon speakers also carry a wider sound foot print pattern, while not being louder to anyone close to the speakers. Those attending any event that we are supplying the tunes and audio sound support for will greatly appreciate this. |

One of Mobile Event Radio's "Wireless Speaker Towers" Note the Big Yellow Truck's sponsors are located on all sides of the speaker towers deployed at events. Towers are 10' tall and hold between 2-4 speakers. Each tower is capable of local volume levels thus giving your event better sound control in each area a wireless tower is placed. |
